Introduction

There are two business organizations authorized by the NAHBB to help monitor business and trade activities on the USA Home Based Business Information Superhighway. There is a Business Trade Organization, (BTO) and a Diversified Business Organization, (DBO). The Business Trade Organization, which is made up of home, based business members from the same trade groups and a Diversified Business Organization that is made up of members from different trade groups. The U.S.A. Home Based Business Information Superhighway also linked to other sites on the Internet that provide home-based businesses with relevant business and trade Information. (See advertisement and promotional links). In the United States there is an estimated 60 million people who work from home in 2001. Approximately a third of that number is considered home based businesses and that number is growing by more than 10% a year. The US Commerce Department issued a report in 1998 that 50% of all small businesses in the United States are home based. Home based businesses are the largest and fastest growing niche market in the U.S. and now the world.
